Finley Middle School NJHS Students Share Their Time and Kindness at Washington Primary School

Members of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) at Finley Middle School recently volunteered their time to help make a special event at Washington Primary School a success. Through their enthusiasm, kindness, and willingness to lend a helping hand, these student volunteers helped create a fun and memorable experience for the younger students and their families.

The NJHS volunteers assisted with a variety of lawn games and activities, including face painting, ring toss, a temporary tattoo station, duck fishing, and mini golf. Throughout the event, the students jumped right in, demonstrating kindness, responsibility, and a genuine commitment to making the evening enjoyable for everyone.

The Washington Primary School parent volunteers were especially appreciative of the students’ initiative and thoughtfulness. In addition to managing their stations throughout the evening, the NJHS members took the initiative to clean up their areas at the end of the event without being asked. This extra effort reflected their strong sense of responsibility, consideration for others, and dedication to serving their school community.

Their contributions made a meaningful difference in helping the event run smoothly and ensuring a wonderful experience for the children and families in attendance.

Huntington UFSD is proud of these Finley Middle School NJHS members for demonstrating the values of service, leadership, and citizenship. Their willingness to give their time and share their positive attitudes exemplifies the power of student volunteerism and the strong connections that make our school community special.
