Huntington Educators Participate in ASSET Conference

March 25, 2026

A team of Huntington UFSD educators attended the 26th Annual ASSET Legacy in Motion technology conference at the Huntington Hilton in Melville this week and it proved to be an “amazing day of learning” for all.

ASSET is the acronym for the Association of Suffolk Supervisors for Educational Technologies. “ASSET exists to enhance teaching and learning in Long Island and New York school districts through the use of computers and other educational technologies,” according to the organization’s website.

The conference brought together districts from across Long Island to network and discuss the most cutting-edge tech innovations in education, computer science, artificial intelligence and more.

Huntington UFSD Director of Math and Computer Science, Dr. Teresa Grossane and Huntington High School computer science teachers, Nick Wagner and Gina Maniscalco presented Huntington’s vision of “Computer Science for All,” which highlighted the many computer science offerings and pathways that Huntington affords our students.

The Legacy in Motion conference showcased the transformative work happening in Long Island schools. “This is your moment to lead, to connect, and to innovate-sharing practices that not only serve your students today but also shape the future of education,” organizers told local educators. “Lead with vision. Teach with purpose. Innovate with courage. How are you, as an administrator, a teacher, or with your students, moving learning forward while honoring the legacy of those who came before? Share the amazing things happening in your classroom, your school, and your district. This is your chance to showcase your impact, celebrate the momentum you’ve created, and connect with peers to build a legacy of innovation, leadership, and collaboration that lasts.”
