Huntington Highlights: Chris Deveau is the Man with the Answers

March 13, 2026

Christopher Deveau is the man with all the answers. Technology is a great thing, but when something goes awry, it’s especially frustrating for students and teachers.

Mr. Deveau is one of Huntington UFSD’s network technicians. He is assigned to cover Woodhull Intermediate School and Jack Abrams STEM Magnet School. Ask anyone at either location and they’ll tell you how important he is to smooth operations and classroom education.

“Chris is responsive and dependable,” Woodhull Principal Stephanie Campbell said. “He addresses technology needs promptly and follows through until issues are resolved. He is willing to go above and beyond, including providing support after hours for evening events. Chris not only fixes problems, but he teaches staff how to troubleshoot and prevent future issues. He communicates clearly and patiently, making complex technology issues easy to understand for staff at all comfort levels.”

Mr. Deveau is a graduate of Wellington C. Mepham High School in North Bellmore. He completed a course of study in electronic engineering/computer technician networking specialist at the Hunter Business School in June 2015. He is a licensed help desk support specialist.

The Huntington High School faculty member is the eleventh teacher or staff member to be profiled as part of a new “Huntington Highlights” initiative that provides community members with insight into teachers and support staff members who toil at the district’s eight individual school buildings.

“Chris approaches every request with a positive, solution-oriented mindset and a genuine desire to help,” Ms. Campbell said. “His behind-the-scenes work keeps our school running smoothly each day and allows staff and students to stay focused on teaching and learning.”

Mr. Deveau is all in when it comes to Huntington UFSD, even helping out at the annual Blue Devil senior athletic awards night ceremony in the high school auditorium with special effects lighting. Those impacted by his work say he has truly earned the title of “the man with the answers.”
