Huntington’s Virtual Enterprise Firms Celebrate at Banquet

Huntington High School’s Virtual Enterprise program recently celebrated this year’s success during a banquet for students and their families.

“Each firm chose a restaurant to cater the banquet using the remaining funds we had after all of our fundraising and selected Chick-fil-A, Caruso’s Deli, and Elsie Lane to feed the 62 attendees of the event,” explained VE teacher Bryan Outsen. “After eating, each firm presented a recap of each department’s accomplishments and awards they received throughout the year.”

The 20 VE awards for the 2025/26 school year were as follows:

• Gold Sales pitch - NYS/NE Region

• Business Plan NYS/NE Regional Finalist

• Silver Sales Pitch - VEI National YBS

• National Marketing Plan Competition - Top 30

• National Video Commercial Competition - Honorable Mention

Firm - Embrace:

• Business Plan NYS/NE Regional Finalist

• National HR CSR Guide Competition - Top 30

• National Circle of Excellence - Bronze

• Winner Of Principal’s Social Media Award

• National Video Commercial Competition - Top 25 percent

Firm – Xtinguish:

• National Elevator Pitch - Top 10 percent

• National Website Competition - Honorable Mention

• Business Plan NYS/NE Regional Finalist

• National Marketing Plan Competition - Top 30

• Gold Sales Pitch - VEI National YBS

• Gold Social Media - Lynbrook Tradeshow

• Silver Professionalism - Lynbrook Tradeshow

• National Circle of Excellence - Bronze

• National Winner Online Tradeshow Social Media Competition

Sales Totals for Each Firm:

CleanClip: $512,319.34

Embrace: $905,670.00

Xtinguish: $1,645,102.11

Huntington High School Total Revenue: $3,063,091.34

After the presentations, each CEO was presented with a plaque that contained their company shirts, slogan, roster, and all awards from the year. These were added to the Virtual Enterprise Hall of Fame in room 014 at the high school “to commemorate all the greatness we have had over the last two years and inspire next year's VE firms,” Mr. Outsen said.
