Charlotte Cassatto Cites Parents as Key to Success
June 10, 2026
She’s one of the sweetest and most articulate teenagers anywhere and Huntington has long known it is blessed to claim her as its own. Charlotte Cassatto is kind, considerate and compassionate to a fault and is among the most popular members of the high school’s Class of 2026.
“The key to my success has been the support of my parents,” Ms. Cassatto said. “From driving me to extra help and clubs, to helping with my homework and assignments, to supporting my dreams, they have been there every step of the way. I have most enjoyed all of the clubs that Huntington has to offer.”
The teenager’s weighted academic grade average approaches 97. She hasn’t ducked any of the high school’s toughest classes. Ms. Cassatto intends to pursue an academic major in political science on a pre-law track at Binghamton University.
“I am in a variety of clubs, from marching band to National History Day, softball and multiple honor societies,” Ms. Cassatto said. “I like to do it all! Some of my highlights include leadership roles for many clubs. I am very involved in the music program, where I was brass captain in the marching band. I also am very involved in National History Day Club, where I placed very high each year, and am now an officer.”
Ms. Cassatto started in the district as a Washington School kindergartener. She has grown into a wonderful young woman who is widely known by the nickname, “Charlie.” She’s played softball, fenced and performed musically with the marching band. She has a fantastic circle of friends who adore her.
Downright ingenious, Ms. Cassatto always manages to find a way to pull a rabbit out of the hat, even in the toughest of circumstances.
