A Year of Growth, Mentorship and Collaboration
June 2, 2026
The Huntington High School senior internship program led by teachers Camille Tedeschi and Eileen Gonzalez continues to thrive through the dedication and collaboration of students, mentors and staff.
“This year, we were proud to recognize and celebrate the outstanding contributions of both our mentors and interns at a special recognition brunch held in the high school library,” Ms. Tedeschi said. “We also had a visit from the therapy dog Hazel. Each intern received a certificate acknowledging their hard work, growth and commitment throughout the program.”
The success of the program is driven in part by valuable survey feedback collected from both interns and mentors, which helps guide continuous improvement efforts and the strong working relationship between Ms. Tedeschi and Mrs. Gonzalez, who are both committed to maintaining excellence in the program.
“This year, we also incorporated two professional development sessions designed to better support the mentors who play such an important role in the internship experience,” Ms. Gonzalez said. “These sessions provided additional resources and strategies to strengthen mentor-intern relationships and enhance the student interns experience. The program remains a strong example of teamwork, partnership, and shared commitment to student success.”
Through collaboration and ongoing support, Huntington’s senior internship program continues to provide meaningful experiences that prepare students for their future endeavors. As the year comes to its conclusion, Ms. Tedeschi and Mrs. Gonzalez look forward to working with the incoming group of 2026/27 interns and mentors.
