Senior Bridget Callery is a Grateful Blue Devil

January 29, 2026

Bridget Callery is in the midst of a wonderful senior year at Huntington High School where the teenager is immersed in sports, classes and clubs and looking to provide crucial playmaking and scoring punch for the Blue Devils’ county and Long Island champion girls’ lacrosse team.

Ms. Callery is a happy, determined and energetic young woman. She has gained the respect and admiration of her teachers, coaches and classmates. As a teammate, there is none better. She fits in perfectly well with everyone else in Huntington’s Class of 2026.

“I will be attending Quinnipiac University where I am committed to play on the NCAA Division I women’s lacrosse team,” Ms. Callery said. “I chose Quinnipiac because it offers strong academics and high level athletics.”

Last fall, the teenager excelled on the Blue Devil varsity tennis team. This winter she is a team manager and statistician for Huntington’s girls’ basketball team.

At Quinnipiac, she plans to pursue an academic major in sports and entertainment management. “I’ve always been interested in the business side of sports and my career interests are working in behind the scenes sports operations within professional or college athletics,” Ms. Callery said.

The senior earns top grades. She has aced many of Huntington’s most challenging courses and Ms. Callery’s teachers believe she is well positioned for academic success on the college level.

“Some of the biggest highlights of my time at Huntington High School have been being a part of athletic teams and building lifelong friendships with my teammates,” Ms. Callery said. “Winning the county and LI girls’ lacrosse championships last spring were among the greatest highlights of my time in Huntington.”

The senior intends to savor every day between now and graduation in June. So many special events will unfold over the coming months and Ms. Callery plans to be involved in all of them.

“I’m grateful for my time at Huntington and proud to be a Blue Devil,” Ms. Callery said. “Huntington prepared me academically and athletically for the next level and has helped me grow as a person.”
