Five Blue Devils on All-State Football Team

Five Huntington High School football players have been named to the All-State team as selected by the New York State Sportswriters Association.
Ethan Lawless and Titan Elysee were tapped for the All-State defensive team while Jack Kamenstein, Yasir Jones and Jacob Guzik were picked for the All-State offensive team.
Lawless was chosen First Team All-State Defense. He recorded 87 solo tackles, 15 assists, 19 tackles for a loss, 11 quarterback sacks, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one interception.
Kamenstein caught 43 passes for 848 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also recorded 19 tackles and three interceptions defensively.
Jones rushed 174 times for 1,258 yards and 24 touchdowns. He also added 18 receptions for 199 yards and two receiving touchdowns.
Guzik completed 103-of-136 passes for 1,515 yards and 16 touchdowns as Huntington’s quarterback. He also rushed 48 times for 290 rushing yards and two touchdowns. He cut his interceptions to only five.
Elysee tallied 44 tackles, 10 tackles for loss of yards, nine quarterback sacks, two forced fumbles, two pass deflections and six assisted tackles. He also returned 11 kicks this past fall, scoring three touchdowns on runs covering 97, 82 and 77 yards. He even rushed 12 times for 118 yards and two touchdowns.
