Huntington Class of 2026 Valedictorian and Salutatorian Announced
February 5, 2026
Emma Polinsky has been named valedictorian of Huntington High School’s Class of 2026. Jaipreet Singh is this year’s salutatorian. The exceptional duo has enjoyed spectacular four year runs packed with academic and co-curricular success.
Ms. Polinsky and Mr. Singh will give addresses at Huntington’s 165th commencement exercises on Friday, June 26 at 6 p.m. in Blue Devil Stadium. A crowd of more than 2,000 is expected to attend.
Principal Rochelle Brown called the top two students to her office separately to inform them of the designation. Superintendent Beth McCoy and Director of School Counseling and Testing Dr. Ricky V. Papandrea Jr. were there. Each of the teenagers was excited to hear the news and both called their parents, who were all overjoyed.
“This afternoon we announced the valedictorian and salutatorian for the 165th commencement,” Ms. Brown said. “I cannot think of two more deserving, dedicated and hard-working students to achieve this honor. Both students are active members of the Huntington school community and I am so proud and excited for them and their future journey!”
Huntington’s top two seniors have captured the respect and admiration of their classmates and teachers and excelled in every way possible. Their transcripts are filled with the most challenging Advanced Placement courses that Huntington offers. The pair is in the process of finalizing their college plans. Articles about each will appear on the district website in the coming weeks.
“We are extremely proud of our salutatorian, Jaipreet Singh and valedictorian, Emma Polinsky whose exceptional academic achievement, dedication, and perseverance have earned this distinguished honor and reflect the highest standards of excellence at Huntington High School,” Mrs. McCoy said.
