Washington Students learn the coding process
October 16, 2026
Mrs. Kraus’ technology class was filled with curiosity, creativity, and hands on learning as students explored the world of coding with Indi rotos!
Working in pairs, students used colorful coding tiles to program their robots, testing different sequences and observing how each tile influenced the robot’s movements. Through trial and error, students practiced foundational computer science skills, including sequencing, logical thinking, cause and effect, and debugging. Using Indi’s built in color sensor, students discovered how different colored tiles could direct the robot to move, turn, change speed, stop, or even perform a celebratory spin. This engaging, screen free technology experience encouraged collaboration, problem solving, and creative thinking as Washington Winners learned that experimentation and persistence are essential to the coding process!
