Flexible Learning, Focused Minds in Grade 3!
October 13, 2026
Learning can happen in many different ways, and third-grade students in Ms. Pfeiffer’s classroom at Jefferson Primary School are embracing every opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed!
During a rigorous mathematics lesson, students took advantage of a variety of flexible seating options designed to help them remain comfortable, focused, and engaged. With support from Math Coach Mrs. Leon, students explored multiple strategies for subtracting two three-digit numbers, strengthening both their computational skills and their mathematical thinking.
Using Nearpod, students actively participated throughout the lesson, demonstrating their understanding and engaging with important math concepts in an interactive way. The combination of flexible learning spaces, technology, teacher support, and student choice created an environment where every learner could participate in a way that worked best for them.
We are proud of our third graders for taking ownership of their learning and demonstrating focus, perseverance, and enthusiasm throughout the lesson. At Jefferson, we know that when students are engaged, supported, and given meaningful opportunities to learn in different ways, they can do amazing things!
Way to go, Jaguars!
