Building Friendships Through Our Kindergarten & 3rd Grade Buddy Program

Warm smiles and new friendships filled the Southdown playground as Mrs. McCormack’s third graders and Mrs. D’Andria’s kindergarteners came together for their first Buddy Program session of the school year!

Throughout the year, the two classes will meet once or twice a month to build friendships, share experiences, and learn from one another. During their first gathering, the third graders led a presentation focused on being safe, respectful, and responsible on the playground.

After the presentation, the buddies headed outside to play, connect, and get to know one another. The afternoon was filled with smiles, laughter, and plenty of opportunities for the students to begin building meaningful friendships.

Everyone is already looking forward to the next buddy meet-up in October!
