May 4, 2026
Huntington High School proudly celebrated its seniors during the annual Decision Day event, honoring the Class of 2026 and their exciting post-secondary plans. The celebration brought together students, faculty, and staff to recognize the hard work, perseverance, and achievements of this year’s graduating class.
As part of the event, seniors gathered on the bleachers proudly wearing apparel representing their future paths, including colleges and universities, military service, trade and technical schools, and career fields. The display served as a powerful visual representation of the diverse and promising futures that await Huntington’s graduates.
Decision Day is a meaningful tradition that highlights each student’s unique journey and reinforces the school community’s commitment to supporting all post-secondary pathways. Whether pursuing higher education, entering the workforce, or serving in the armed forces, every senior was recognized and celebrated.
“This is one of the most rewarding moments of the year,” said Dr. Ricky V. Papandrea, director of school counseling and testing, K-12. “Seeing our students come together, proudly representing their next steps, is a testament to their dedication and the support they’ve received from their families, teachers, and counselors. We are incredibly proud of the Class of 2026 and excited to see all they will accomplish.”
The event concluded with a group photo capturing the spirit, pride, and unity of the senior class, marking a memorable milestone as they prepare to embark on the next chapter of their lives.
