Huntington Celebrates its Food Service Workers
September 26, 2025
Huntington UFSD celebrated its food service workers this week, giving recognition and thanks to a group of employees who staff the eight school cafeterias in the district.
The observance allows faculty, staff, students and parents time to recognize, appreciate and thank those who make the cafeterias run every school day.
“We proudly celebrate the incredible members of our Huntington UFSD Food Service Department,” said Lauren Kearley, the district’s food service manager. “From preparing nutritious meals to greeting our students with a smile, their hard work, dedication, and care fuel learning every single day. Please join us in thanking our food service team for all they do to keep our schools healthy and thriving.”
The Huntington food service program strives to provide students and staff with healthy, nutritious and good tasting food choices each day. Detailed monthly menus are provided to each school. These are also posted on the district’s Food Services website and as a link on the district's homepage in the Student Life section.
A variety of breakfast and lunch items are offered, including full complete meals and numerous ala carte choices. An assortment of salads, hot and cold sandwiches, hot meals, yogurt and other items are featured along with fruit, milk and juice. At the secondary level, additional choices are provided along with traditional items.
