Blue Devil Boys’ Soccer Celebrates Senior Day
October 15, 2025

The Huntington High School boys’ soccer team celebrated a group of seniors who have meant so much to the program over the past four years, helping to keep the Blue Devils competitive against Suffolk’s best.
Senior Day at Blue Devil Stadium is always a festive and emotional affair and the recent ceremony was no different with parents, players and coaches all displaying a range of emotions.
Huntington head coach John Pagano spoke about each senior as they walked out to midfield accompanied by family members. Players presented their respective mother with a flower and later posed for commemorative photos.
The seniors included Hamilton Giron, Manuel Orellana, Jonathan Morales, Rudis Villatoro, Justin Soto, Angel Flores, Xavier Garcia, Jesson Guandique, Junior Gonzalez, Jason Mejia and Javier Santiago.
Orellana, Morales, Villatoro and Soto are all serving as team captains this year. The team itself is once again in the playoff hunt. Injuries have contributed to inconsistent performance, but if everyone is healed and on the field, Huntington will be tough to beat in the post-season.
Pagano made note of the seniors’ work ethic and commitment to the program and testified to the impact all 11 of them have made over the years.
