Huntington VE Company Embrace Wins New Contest

November 7, 2025

October was National Principal’s Month and Virtual Enterprise International held a new contest this year asking firms to post a photo or video celebrating their principal and explaining the impact they have on their program. So, Huntington High School naturally sprung into action.

Huntington Principal Rochelle C. Brown with Embrace company CEO Elliot Manu.

“Our firm, Embrace jumped at this opportunity and decided to not only interview Ms. [Rochelle] Brown, but also designed a certificate commemorating all she has done in support of VE,” teacher Bryan Outsen said. “Company members submitted pictures and their interview of the principal along with the certificate to VEI two weeks ago. Over 200 firms participated and this past Monday, Embrace was named as winner and got a spot on the VE International Instagram where they shouted out both the firm and Ms. Brown.”

Chief Marketing Officer Addison Defino created the Principal’s Award certificate, which was presented to Ms. Brown by company CEO Elliot Manu.

In addition to the publicity, Embrace received a virtual check for $10,000 VE, which was placed into their firm’s bank account to help with start-up costs and initial inventory, “which is perfect timing with the first virtual trade show coming up on November 20,” Mr. Outsen said.

“I support Virtual Enterprise because I think it is an amazing program that really provides students with a hands-on experience from beginning to end in all the facets of creating a product, marketing it and bringing their idea and dream to life,” Ms. Brown said. “It taps into a student’s creativity, passion, skill building, critical thinking and so much more.”
