Woodhull School’s Career Day Engages & Inspires
May 28, 2025
Woodhull Intermediate School recently celebrated its annual Career Day, an engaging and inspiring event that welcomed nearly 50 family and community members who volunteered to share their professional journeys with students.
These presenters represented a broad spectrum of careers, including business, veterinary medicine, law, performing arts, emergency services, law enforcement, floral design, writing, science, computer programming, cosmetology and more. Their stories and experiences provided students with valuable insights into a wide range of possible future careers.
Throughout the day, classrooms were filled with curiosity and enthusiasm as students interacted with the guest speakers, asked thoughtful questions and learned about the skills, education, and personal experiences that shaped each professional path. These meaningful conversations helped students make real-world connections and sparked inspiration for their own futures.
“We were honored to welcome district leaders, including Superintendent Beth McCoy, Deputy Superintendent Chris Hender, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Brenden Cusack, and Board of Education Trustee Theresa Sullivan,” Principal Stephanie Campbell said. “Their participation reflects the district’s ongoing commitment to providing meaningful opportunities that support student growth and learning.”
Students continued to buzz about the career possibilities the next day, too. “We appreciate all the family and community members who took part in this year’s Career Day, helping to make it a truly memorable and meaningful event,” Ms. Campbell said. “By generously sharing their time and expertise, they have made a lasting impact on our students and inspired their future goals.”
