Blue Devils Celebrate Football Team’s Seniors
September 29, 2025
The Huntington High School football team paid tribute to its seniors prior to the Saturday’s Homecoming Day game against Centereach.
“This is a special occasion where the coaching staff, administration and community come together to recognize and honor our outstanding seniors and their families for the many contributions and sacrifices they have made over the years to make our football program a success,” said head coach Ronald E. Wilson over the Blue Devil Stadium public address system.
The seniors walked through an archway of ballons with their parents and family members and in some cases, one or more coaches. Superintendent Beth McCoy and Principal Rochelle Brown were in the stadium for the ceremony.
“Throughout this football journey, our athletes have persevered, dedicating countless hours to early morning practices in the sweltering summer heat, lifting weights and conditioning,” Wilson said. “They have shown incredible commitment in afternoon competitions, participating weekly in seven on seven tournaments. Our football student-athletes have accepted these challenges with enthusiasm and unwavering confidence in themselves.”
The seniors included (in order of their uniform numbers) Henry Gerberg, Yasir Jones, Luca Terrado, Vincent Pupillo, Titan Elysee, Chase Northrop, Jacob Guzik, Frank Algieri, Jermine Campbell, Jack Kamenstein, Max Carino, Gevonne Henderson, Ryan Donovan, Banny Soc Concua, Wilver Lopez, Ethan Lawless, Matthew Ross, Kenneth Gilhuley, Luca Triolo, Will Peters, Jean Riboul and Nick Normoyle.
“I cannot say enough about this senior class and their families,” Wilson said. “Each of you has brought unique qualities and strengths to this program, helping shape its success and filling our hearts with pride and joy. Please know that we deeply love and appreciate every one of you and your families.”
