Executives Set for Huntington’s Virtual Enterprise Firms
September 29, 2025
Three Virtual Enterprise business course firms at Huntington High School have fully staffed executive offices and are all busy developing their respective product, pitches and related materials for upcoming conferences and competitions.

Virtual Enterprise is a full-year, one credit honors business class available to Huntington High School juniors and seniors. “Virtual Enterprise is a simulated business that is set up and run by students to prepare them for working in a real business environment,” according to the course bulletin. Course grades carry an “honors weighting.”
Huntington business teacher Bryan Outsen is working with each of the three VE firms as they begin operations in earnest.
“Our three companies have completed their executive interviews, developed their business ideas and have created names, logos, and slogans for the 2025/26 competitive year,” Mr. Outsen said. “Twenty students were recently interviewed in the library for executive positions with each of the companies.”
The interview panel included Superintendent Beth McCoy, Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Management Services Dr. Rubie Harris, Principal Rochelle Brown, Assistant Principal Trish Avelli, Assistant Principal Gamal Smith, librarian Alison Bean, business teacher Suzi Biagi and Mr. Outsen.
The Clean Clip company executive team includes Caroline Mitek (chief executive officer), Fiona Lynch (chief operating officer), Grace Kline (chief marketing officer), Jesse Perez (chief technical officer), Vincent Pupillo (chief financial officer) and Gevonne Henderson (chief sales officer).
Clean Clip markets a phone accessory that clips onto the back of a mobile device and utilizes a UV light to sanitize a phone screen on the go, preventing germs and ensuring a healthy lifestyle.
The Embrace executive team features Elliot Manu (chief executive officer), Katie Sorto (office manager), Addison Delfino (chief marketing officer), Audrey Sherwood (chief technical officers), Eli Levi (chief financial officer) and Melvin Magny (chief sales officer).
Embrace markets a child safety bracelet that can alert family and authorities of a child’s location during emergencies by analyzing pulse levels or touching a charm on the bracelet. The company’s slogan is “Always connected, always protected.”
Xtinguish’s corporate executive team includes Leila O’Toole (chief executive officer), Alexandra Boeckmann (chief operating officer), Eva Richter (chief marketing officer), Robbie Campbell (chief technical officer), Madyn Kalb (chief financial officer) and Ella Palatnek (chief sales officer).
Xtinguish markets a state-of-the-art, single use fire extinguisher alternative that is eco-friendly, easier to operate and more convenient for putting out flames than the traditional method.
“All three firms are off to an amazing start to the year and are in a great position to follow last year’s VE season that amassed 32 total awards on the regional and national level,” Mr. Outsen said. “Although our biggest fundraising event of the year was rained out yesterday, our firms had booths set up on Friday night for the boy’s varsity soccer night game and Saturday for the varsity football homecoming game, in hopes to raise money for company pens, business cards, shirts, promotional material and other business essentials.”
