Et Cetera Literary Magazine Returns for New Year
October 17, 2025
Et Cetera is Huntington High School’s creative hub for writers and artists alike. Meeting every Wednesday afternoon this fall, members come together to craft poems, short stories and visual art that showcase their imagination and voice. The club encourages exploration across multiple mediums, blending words and images to capture unique perspectives.
Et Cetera is the high school’s treasured literary magazine. “This month, Et Cetera is diving into the art of atmosphere—focusing on setting and mood to bring Halloween-inspired prompts to life,” said English teacher Dianna Cazzalino, who serves as the publication’s faculty advisor. “Whether through eerie tales, haunting poetry, or spooky sketches, students are channeling their creativity to celebrate the season in true literary style.”
The magazine has stood the test of time through the years. “Our club is thriving thanks to the dedication of its members,” Ms. Cazzalino said. “Newly appointed president Isis Jezel Jimenez leads with creativity and enthusiasm, supported by Jack Handler, our organized secretary. We’re also excited to welcome treasurer Milania Watelier, a newcomer already contributing fresh ideas and energy.”
Regular weekly participants Nori Flores Reyes and Bella Duke, who wrote and illustrated the poem “Shipwrecked,” and Sara Persampire continue to inspire with their consistent work and imaginative voices.
“To support our club, Et Cetera will be hosting a Halloween-themed bake sale on October 29,” Ms. Cazzalino said. “Stop by to enjoy some treats and help celebrate our talented student creators!”
