Virtual Enterprise Students Celebrate at Banquet
June 27, 2025
Huntington High School Virtual Enterprise business students staged the program’s first ever end of the year banquet to celebrate their many successes and showcase their accomplishments for family members.
“Students utilized some of the leftover fundraising profits to cater an appreciation dinner for 86 students, parents, siblings, administration and friends,” said business teacher Bryan Outsen, who leads the Virtual Enterprise program. “The four students firms chose Old Fields, Caruso's, and Chick Fil A to cater the banquet, along with Mrs. Ross’ Mac and Cheese. After the meal, each firm presented a recap of the year.”
The executives of each firms went through their individual department jobs and the materials that were created as they highlighted the 31 total awards they won this year on both a regional and national level.
Following the presentations, the four CEOs were awarded with a company plaque that will form the beginning of the VE Wall Of Fame in Room 014, “which enshrines the company shirt and includes the firm name, slogan, CEO's name, class roster and list of awards written on the glass,” Mr. Outsen said.
The program is looking ahead with enthusiasm to the 2025/26 school year. “Next year, our firms have very big shoes to fill after such a successful year, but I know the incoming class will be up for the challenge,” Mr. Outsen said.
