June 12, 2025

Huntington High School senior Will Fallon has garnered the Huntington Fire Department’s Honorary Chief Ray Mazoyer Award for Economics. It carries a stipend of $500.

Mr. Fallon plans to study either economics or business at the University of Georgia in the fall. He is one of the top students in Huntington’s Class of 2025.

Huntington Fire Department Ex-Chief Neil Getter announced the award at the high school’s annual senior scholarships and awards ceremony earlier this week.

“The key to my success has been my hard work and time management, especially when it comes to balancing my coursework with sports and other responsibilities,” Mr. Fallon said.

The teenager starred on the Blue Devil golf and lacrosse teams. He’s been a standout in everything he has taken on, including a stint with the high school’s mock trial team.

“I’ve really enjoyed the athletic programs at Huntington and being able to compete alongside my friends with the support of great coaches,” Mr. Fallon said. “It’s been one of my favorite parts of high school.”

Mr. Fallon’s prowess on the golf course lifted Huntington to league and conference championships. His goaltending skills helped the Blue Devil lacrosse team to the Suffolk Final Four.

“The guidance and support of my teachers has truly stood out,” Mr. Fallon said. “They’ve played a vital role in helping me succeed throughout my high school journey.”
