Ms. Dorvilus plays on the varsity volleyball and flag football teams. She is vice president of the Blue Devil Varsity Club, which represents the views and advocates for the interests of student-athletes with the athletic department.

The articulate young woman is popular with her classmates and teammates. Ms. Dorvilus is regarded as a kind and considerate friend. She is sensitive with a wonderful sense of humor. She is loyal to Huntington.

“Being a student at Huntington High School has brought me an experience like no other,” Ms. Dorvilus said. “Whether it’s sitting in a classroom learning from amazing teachers, participating in one of the many clubs or extracurricular activities or playing on the field or court with some of my best friends, the community aspect of Huntington has always held strong. As a rising senior, it will only be my sixth year in Huntington UFSD, yet I found my sense of belonging within the first year or two.”

The summer has been busy for Ms. Dorvilus, but she has made time to participate in the volleyball team’s intramural program with new head coach Jake Torres. The rising senior is determined to make this the best year of her life at the high school she has grown to love.

“I’ve always had a strong support system behind me, ranging from my family and mentors, many who happen to be Huntington alumni to friends who I know I’ll have for a lifetime,” Ms. Dorvilus said. “I have experienced some of my lowest lows and highest highs throughout the years and Huntington has always been there for me to get me through it or celebrate with me. I’m excited that within a few months I’ll be graduating from here knowing that I’ve been able to experience opportunities that I wouldn’t get anywhere else. I know of many Huntington graduates that have gone on to do great things. There’s no other mascot I’d want to represent.”
