Woodhull’s Fifth Grade Ambassadors an Energetic Group

The Woodhull Intermediate School fifth and sixth grade Eagle Ambassadors program is all about making students feel welcomed, valued and connected. Every student fits in at Woodhull. No one is excluded and no one should ever feel they are.

The fifth grade Ambassador program, led by school psychologist Matthew Schultz and Learners Who LEAD program teacher Nicole Leggio, focuses on kindness and inclusivity. Due to strong interest, multiple groups will participate throughout the year. Ambassadors will spend lunch and recess twice a month for eight weeks with students from Woodhull’s Life Skills class, serving as positive role models through meaningful social interactions.

Interest in being a fifth grade Eagle Ambassador was “off the charts.” That was very much welcomed by Mrs. Campbell and Woodhull faculty and staff members.

The fifth grade ambassadors program is now fully up and running and it has quickly made a difference around the building.

“The ambassadors will meet twice a month with students from teacher Ashley Williams’ class, giving them ongoing opportunities to connect and engage,” Woodhull Principal Stephanie Campbell said. “Their time together helps build friendships, support positive social interactions, and strengthen our inclusive school community. The ambassador program ensures that all students at Woodhull feel welcomed, valued and connected.”
