Vocalists Entertain at Board of Ed Meeting
December 10, 2025
Huntington High School’s highly regarded chamber entertained the crowd at Monday night’s public meeting of the Huntington School Board in Adam Spector Auditorium at Jack Abrams STEM Magnet School.
The vocalists performed “Three Spanish Carols,” “O Hanukkah” and “Carol of the Bells.” The chamber choir annually performs a holiday selection at the trustees’ December meeting. Charles Colasanti is the high school choir’s director.
The vocalists included Caleigh Camarata, Jessica Lee, Casey Myers, Ella Van Horn, Emily Barba, Lauren Dopico, Rachel Huth, Avery Joynt, Michael DiVincenzo, Walter Lopez, Sergio Portillo, Kevin Dominguez, Dennis McCook and Alexander Tine.
The student singers take their vocations seriously and they rose to the occasion and sounded great. District and building administrators along with the Huntington School Board members all moved award from their seats to give the vocalists space.
The Huntington High School choral program is among the best on Long Island. The high school program features two choirs. The concert choir is open to anyone who loves to sing while the chamber choir is an elite, audition-only group.
The performance created a festive environment in the auditorium. Trustees, administrators and audience members gave the musicians hearty applause.
