April 30, 2025
Washington Primary School kindergarten students recently enjoyed an in-house field trip hosted by The Long Island Children Museum, which has a physical presence in Garden City.

The youngsters had the opportunity to engage in three different bubble stations during the field trip, which was titled “Bubble Pop!” The Long Island Children’s Museum is a not-for-profit learning space “devoted to the busy work of play,” according to the organization’s website. “Our exhibits, programs and performances fuel creativity and collaboration to inspire millions of ‘aha’ moments. At the Museum, children master skills and uncover passions that will stay with them throughout their lives. The future is always present here!”
The Washington kindergarteners passed through the following three stations:
Station No. 1: Students engaged in bubble art using different color paint that was mixed in with the bubble solution.
Station No. 2: Students used household tools such as hangers, spatulas, potato masher, etc. to blow bubbles.
Station No. 3: Students used multi-shaped bubble wands to blow bubbles.
The Long Island Children’s Museum’s mission is to “connect all our communities’ children, and those who care for them, to one another and a life of wonder, imagination and exploration. Here, children discover their passions and their relationship to the world we share.”
