Flower Hill Honors September’s Stars
It just might be the favorite part of Flower Hill Primary School Principal Marlon Small’s job. He loves to recognize students for a job well done. The veteran educator got a chance to do just that when he honored a group of hardworking youngsters for their standout efforts during September.
Flower Hill teachers present Star Student Awards to recognize youngsters that have distinguished themselves. The honorees are given certificates and assembled together for a group photo that is affixed to a bulletin board near the school lobby.
Mr. Small was quite pleased to distribute certificates to September’s stars one recent day. “Students who work hard, cooperate and show respect should be recognized,” he said. “They love to be honored and their classmates enjoy congratulating them.”
Star Student Award recipients for September include Kayla Hernandez, Grace Bartasi, Charles Rosselli, Zafera Khan, Kayvon Pittman, Manpreet Kaur, Brandy Marroquin, Katherine Ramos Panameno, Christopher Nunn, Tyler Altman, Yoselin Benitez-Almendares, Noe Palacios Jimenez, Ameer Shaker, Gabriella Echevarria, Adyeri Medina, Britney Romero-Jaramillo, Sindi Gomez Chavez, Jaxhliel Rodriguez, Samantha Koepele, Luke Calabria and Sophia Kaloudis.
The first month of school has gone well at Flower Hill. Mr. Small said students and teachers are working well together. The PTA has been registering members at a brisk clip and numerous special events are planned for the coming weeks.
“We expect this will be a great year at Flower Hill School,” Mr. Small said.
