Huntington Drama Club Wins Three Hunting-Tony Awards

The Huntington High School drama club shined last Tuesday night at the fifth annual Hunting-Tony Awards ceremony at the John W. Engemann Theater in Northport.

A parade of Huntington actors joined peers from drama clubs across the town for the most anticipated event. The teenagers and their advisors came dressed for the red carpet as photographers snapped away.

Huntington senior Kyle Meit won the Best Featured Actor in a Musical Award for his portrayal of Gaston in Beauty and the Beast. Sophomore Madeline Shea captured the Best Supporting Actress Award for her portrayal of Carol Kingsley in The Babbling Brooks. Huntington High School won a third Hunting-Tony Award for Best Scenery for Beauty and the Beast.
