The Babbling Brooks on Stage at HHS this Weekend
After weeks of rehearsals the curtain is ready to rise. The Huntington High School drama club will present The Babbling Brooks this Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium. Tickets will be available at the door.
The comedy by Kurtz Gordon stars Huntington actors Olivia Liepe, Rachel Carpenter, Nancy Fallon, Andrew Gunthner, Ann Glackin, Kyle Meit, Amara Ayler, Kevin McConnell, Peter Ciccone, Carolanne Buoniello, Maddie Shea, Patrick Lombardi, Declan Byrne and Mary Pulizotto. Extras include Michelle D’Alessandro, China Celestin and Will Fallon.
“Rehearsals have been going great,” said Ms. Shea, who plays the part of Carol Kingsley. “We’re all working so hard to put on this production and the drama club is so important to all of us. After all of the long hours, the set looks great and the show is really coming together. We hope everyone enjoys the show!”
The production will be directed by drama club faculty advisor Michael Schwendemann. Jason Mainville is the technical director after taking over the position from Kenneth Gilbert, who retired. Mr. Gilbert is consulting on the current show. Student directors include Justin Waite, Melissa Ingle and Jordan Biener.
Tickets will be sold at the door for $10. Senior citizens, staff members and students with an ID card can purchase tickets for $5. Call (631) 673-2106 for more information.
