Montefusco’s 19 Points Not Enough

The Colts scored early and often, building a 20-5 first quarter lead and extending their advantage to 46-22 by halftime. A crowd of about 150 included State Supreme Court Justice W. Gerard Asher, a 1959 Huntington High School graduate.

KP Tops HHS BB

Kings Park proved too much for the Huntington boys’ basketball team to handle as the Kingsmen used a strong second half to top the Blue Devils, 57-29.

Huntington nursed a 24-22 lead at halftime, before outscoring the Clippers in the second half, 37-29. The victory gave the Blue Devils a 17-0 mark this winter.

Katie Nugent had 11 points and nine assists and Joellen Ceide added eight points and eight rebounds to help pace Huntington. Heather Forster turned in another monster game under the boards. The junior scored seven points and pulled down 20 rebounds.
