Trustees Appoint Finley Club Advisors
The J. Taylor Finley Middle School after-school club program is up and running. Huntington School Board members approved more than a dozen faculty advisor appointments during the trustees’ meeting on Sept. 30.
Mark Belton (art club), Dee Weinstock (audio-visual), Caterina Cain (community club), Helen Murdock-Prep (drama director), Kerry Prep (assistant drama director), Amy Hughes (honor society), Phyllis Sadusky (honor society), Melanie DeMarco (Mathletes-7), Denise Grodzicki (Mathletes-8 and Math Counts), Elizabeth Grobe (Math Counts), Kimberly Schiller (school newspaper), Angela Whitfield (school store), Matthew Harris (stage crew), Frank Battista (student council), Matthew Perlongo (student council), Jacklyn Ambrosio (school yearbook) and Melissa Jasinski (Yorkers club) were among the faculty advisors appointed for the Finley after-school club program.
Principal John Amato said that Finley traditionally has a very high rate of participation in its extracurricular activities program. “All students are welcome to get involved,” he said.
