K-Factor Talent Show on March 1

There will be some surprises in store for the audience at the K-Factor talent show at Huntington High School on Friday, March 1 at 7 p.m.

A variety of acts will take the stage during the show, including singing, dancing and stand-up comedy. The Key Club is partnering with Huntington High School's Relay For Life committee and will donate all proceeds from the K-Factor to this year's RFL. Tickets will be sold at the door for $5.

"We named the K-Factor after the TV show 'The X Factor,' which was a suggestion from one of our members," said Samantha Levine, this year's Key Club president. Interest in the talent show is building around the high school and a crowd numbering in the hundreds is expected to attend.

The fun evening will include numerous high quality prize baskets, a guest master of ceremonies and a grand prize presented to the winning contestant(s). An assortment of snacks will be on sale in the auditorium lobby during intermission.

"This K-Factor is rooted in both tradition and benevolence," Ms. Levine said about the event. "It is the Key Club's second year producing a talent show, with our full intention to deliver both financial help and moral support to the school's Relay For Life."

Ms. Levine heads a Key Club slate of officers that includes Cynthia Gowani (vice president), Mike Stafford (secretary), Beth Coneys (treasurer), Victor Tellez (historian) and Alexandria Mandriota (lieutenant governor). Teachers Gina Colica and Kelly Krycinski are the organization's faculty advisors.
