Huntington School Board Notes
Huntington School Board members approved a contract with Educational Data Services, Inc. for its cooperative bid maintenance program that the district participates in each year. Trustees took the action during their meeting this past Monday evening.
Alan Wohl of EDS called the program "the largest and most successful shared services program of its kind" in a letter to the district. The licensing and maintenance fee for the 2012/13 school year is $11,980. The district will pay the fee in four installments of $2,995 between July 1 and April 1, 2013.
"The licensing fee refers to the use of our copyrighted bid specifications and interactive software," Mr. Wohl wrote. "The maintenance fee refers to the supplying of our cooperative bid prices, cross-referenced awarded vendor catalogs, updated users and account codes."
