Booster Club Golf Outing Moves to Indian Hills
After four years at Crab Meadow golf course, the Huntington Booster Club's annual fall golf outing is on the move. The event is slated for Monday, October 10 at Indian Hills Country Club in Northport.
Next fall's outing will honor the Booster Club's members themselves and all supporters of the Huntington athletic program. It will be the fifth such golf outing since the Booster Club was reformulated and reinvigorated.
The October 10th outing will begin with check-in, lunch and practice on the driving range from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at which time a shotgun start will kick-off the action. The fee for individual golfers is $250 (foursome - $1,000). Blue Devil supporters wishing to attend only the festive 6:30 p.m. dinner can do so for $100. (The individual golfer fee also includes the dinner.)
Majestic Indian Hills is located at 21 Breeze Hill Road in Northport, a short distance off Route 25A. The course features fairways with stunning close-up views of the Long Island Sound. The clubhouse and grounds are impeccably maintained and will offer the Huntington Booster Club an exceptional setting for its day in the sun.
Indian Hills imposes a dress code on those using its facilities. "Jeans, denim (of any color), bathing attire, tee shirts, gym shorts, cargo shorts or cargo pants, sweat pants, tank tops, tube tops, halter tops, mesh shirts, cutoffs, short shorts, tennis outfits and dress of this type are inappropriate," according to the club's website. "Collared shirts must be tucked inside pants with the exception of shirts specifically designed to be worn as an overblouse. While men's t-shirts are prohibited, a collarless, mock turtle neck may be 'appropriate' and therefore acceptable. Men's hats must be worn with bill facing forward and are not permitted to be worn inside the clubhouse at any time."
