Gingerbread Days at Woodhull School

What would the holidays be like without gingerbread houses? Woodhull School fifth graders didn't want to find out so the youngsters went to work, creating the intriquing little structures.

Classes rotated through the Woodhull cafeteria over a two day period for what everyone agrees was a fun project. Assisted by teachers and cadre of parent volunteers, students used their creativity to make gingerbread masterpieces surrounded by a winter wonderland scene.

They houses themselves were created from recycled milk cartons, frosting and various delectable treats. They were displayed on a tray, wrapped and decorated.

Students, teachers and parents said they had a great time! The gingerbread houses were a sweet treat for students to take home and to share with their families before the holiday break.
