Crawley Recognized in Huntington Camera Club Contest

Alssya Crawley, a talented Huntington High School senior, won second place in the open category of the Huntington Cahuntington_camera_club_competitionmera Club’s annual competition, which this year drew 750 entries.
The competition ahs been held each year since 1991. At an awards ceremony held at the Huntington Public Library, Ms. Crawley was presented with an attractive certificate along with a $100 stipend in recognition of her exceptional work. The senior is most likely headed to SUNY College at New Paltz where she will pursue a major in the arts.
“The competition was really strong and the prints that were chosen all displayed a special level of creativity, as well as technical expertise,” said Pam Piffard, a Huntington High School art/photography teacher. “I am very proud of Alyssa. This was her week. Not only was she chosen as a Huntington Camera Club award winner she was also chosen as an award winner in the Huntington School District’s art show on Tuesday.”
