Kindergartners Turn into Princesses and Pirates for a Night

More than four dozen Flower Hill School kindergartners, dressed up in their favorite princess or pirate attire, turned out for an after school social that had the gym rocking.

A DJ kept the music pumping and the children danced and laughed and had an all-around good time. It took quite a bit of effort to keep the youngsters' tiaras and swords in check, but somehow the group managed to pull that off, too.

During breaks from the dance floor, the kindergarteners were able to participate in various craft activities, have their face painted or a few temporary tattoos applied at the wildly popular Captain Jack's Tattoo Parlor.

The event brought together almost all of Flower Hill's kindergarten students and their parents. All-in-all, the kids had a ball, which visually pleased their parents. "I loved getting all the pirate things and dancing with my friends," said kindergartener Dylan Cahill.

What better way to start the first year of school for their kindergarteners and their parents?
