Trustees Grant Tenure to Dozens
At their Monday night meeting, Huntington School Board members granted tenure to J. Taylor Finley Middle School Principal John Amato, Finely Assistant Principal Kenneth Parham, Jefferson Primary School Principal Margaret H. Evers, Washington Primary School Principal Marsha Neville and Flower Hill Primary School Principal Marlon Small.
Teachers approved for tenure appointments included Joseph Cohen (science), Carol Emmerman (special education), Marianne Fiordalisi (reading), Elizabeth Grobe (math), Susan Hahn (music), Lynn Hendricks (math), Mariana Irigoyen (bilingual education), Ayallah Jeddah (art), Luz Marotta (bilingual education), Jessica Medina (foreign language), Deborah Kim (music), Karen Morea (art), Robert Potter (art), David Schmid (ESL), Heather Swan (art), Soraya Triessl (elementary) and Bernadette Walsh (school counselor).
Trustees also granted tenure to 17 teacher assistants at the meeting, including Vincenzina Arcuri, Marie Elda Cantave, Tomarah Castillo, Lisa Doherty, Noreen Doyle, Pamela Fleiss, Deborah Gonyou, Kathleen Lavery, Nancy Lavery, Linda Lombardi, Suzanne Millner, Lisa Pace, Mary Scott, Laura Lee Thompson, Kathleen Turner, Kimberly Voyages and Barbara Waller.
