Crew Team to Host Family Dinner-Dance on March 6
The Huntington High School crew team will host a family dinner-dance on Friday, March 6 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. in the Huntington Fire Department’s community room.
Billed as “A Taste of Huntington,” the evening is expected to be one of pure family fun, with entertainment provided by the classic rock band, Knomad. Those who choose to cut loose a little can spent time to the dance floor to their heart’s content
The Huntington Fire Department is located at 1 Leverich Place between Wall Street and New York Avenue. The event will include a buffet dinner “to tempt your taste buds,” along with soft drinks, coffee and dessert. Fine local restaurants will provide an array of tasty food dishes
Tickets are priced at $25 per person, $40 per couple and $15 per student. Children under five years of age will be admitted free. Organizers request an RSVP to P.O. Box 929, Huntington, NY 11743. It should include name, address, phone number and e-mail address. Checks should be made payable to Friends of Huntington Crew. Tickets will be mailed in advance of the event.
A video montage of images from crew team races over the past few years is expected it be a big hit. The night will also include a variety of special raffles. The ticket price includes one door prize raffle. Current crew team members will serve as hosts.
