Assemblyman James D. Conte recently welcomed Huntington High School students Andres Carrion and Anne Alvarado to the Albany.  The teenagers, who are participants in the Puerto Rican/Hispanic Youth Leadership Institute, were in the state capital to learn more about the legislative process and to develop their leadership skills.  During the visit they were involved in a mock session of the Assembly and played the part of a real state legislator, with Mr. Carrion taking up the role of Assemblyman Michael Fitzpatrick of Smithtown and Ms. Alvarado assuming the role of Assemblyman Steven Englebright of Setauket.  Two students from nearby Walt Whitman High School were also hosted by Mr. Conte, a graduate of Huntington High School.
