Cinderella Impresses Crowds at Washington School

A cute performance of “Cinderella” by second graders in teacher Suzanne Dinehart’s class captivated audiences at Washington Primary School over a two-day run this month. Students reveled in their roles and were thrilled with the adulation crowds directed their way.

Sebastian Blot served as the production’s flawless narrator and the roles of Cinderella and Prince Charming where mastered by Jacqueline Caravetto and Ryley Madison, respectively. Audiences fell in love with the student-performers, who showed surprising poise throughout the show, which culminated with the stars dancing at mid-stage.

Students Chris Piazza (King Grumble Knees), William Fallon (Snitwick), Hector Martinez (Snitwick’s assistant), Julia Rogan (Snaggle Bones), Brianna Ehlers (LuLu Lolly), Kathie Garcia (Bella Bomb), Julia Moskowitz (Foo Foo Fanny), Maggie Schmidt (Fairy godmother), Christopher Warren (Nibbles), Joseph Furbush (Squeaky), Sarah Swanson (Sweetie Pie), Clay Jamison (Nosy), Yacelin Campos (Cutsie Face), Ryan Gaines (Sam), Anthony Christy (Mister Sez So), Patricia Lizama (Miss Hooty toot), Dariana Cruz (Miss Pepper) and Jazmin Young (Miss Fusspot) also appeared on the big stage.

Parents helped Ms. Dinehart and teacher aide Carol Ann Sinatra with the production by providing costumes and helping create the sets. Teacher aide Kim Kowalski also pitched in with set design.

Washington students and the parents of the performers crowded into the gym over the two-day period and said they found the show entertaining and a real delight. “Everyone loved it,” said Joan Marie Balsari, a second grade teacher at the school. “It was very cute and well done.”
