Huntington High School graduates Antonio White (’94) and Sonya Brown-White (’98) were recently married. The groom is the son of Alvin and the late Francine White of Huntington. He holds the title of Maintenance Mechanic II and is employed by the Town of Huntington. He has also been worked in the recording industry. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Brown of Huntington. She is employed by Island Advantage Realty as an asset valuation specialist.
Mr. White was an accomplished Blue Devil football player and wrestler, winning the league championship in 1994.

Katie Boshko, a 2004 Huntington High School graduate, returned to her alma mater during a break between semesters to meet with current students in the school’s College Center. Ms. Boshko, who attends Babson College outside of Boston, MA, discussed college life and the different academic and co-curricular opportunities available.

Jack Piana, a 2000 Huntington High School graduate is currently employed by the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office as an assistant district attorney. Mr. Piana earned his undergraduate degree at Rider University in New Jersey and obtained his law degree at the Hofstra School of Law in May 2007. He resides in Huntington.
While at Huntington High School, Mr. Piana was a member of the football and wrestling teams. He won the 2000 New York State wrestling championship at 160 lbs., compiling a perfect 35-0 record and finished his varsity career with a mark of 97-23. He holds the all-time Blue Devil wrestling record of 267 team points in a season.

Heather Waring, a member of Huntington’s Class of 1999, is employed by Jet Blue Airways as a flight attendant. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Stony Brook University. She works out of JFK Airport in Queens.

Robert L. Corwin left Huntington High School before his scheduled graduation to join the U.S. war effort in the South Pacific, where he was seriously injured in fierce fighting at Guadalcanal. Discharged due his wounds, Mr. Corwin returned to his hometown and high school, graduating with Huntington’s Class of 1944.
He went on to great things in life, eventually earning degree at the University Of Virginia School of Law. He married and became a father of four daughters and a son. Today he is retired and still living in Huntington, near Southdown School.
