Former Principal Phil Nardone Passes Away at 78

Former Huntington School District teacher and principal Philip C. Nardone has passed away at 78 of complications from diabetes.  He retired from the district in 1991 and lived in Florida for the past 13 years.

Born Feb. 15, 1930, Mr. Nardone worked in Huntington for more than three decades and was well known throughout the community.  He came to the district as an elementary school teacher and was later named principal of Robert K. A graduate of DeWitt Clinton High School in The Bronx and New York University, Mr. Nardone began his Huntington career in 1958 and served the youth of the community for 33 years.

He passed away Mon.
