Teacher Center to Sponsor Defensive Driving Course

The Empire Safety Council’s Defensive Driving Course is coming to Huntington High School on Saturday, November 1. Participants who complete the six hour class are eligible for a substantial savings on their car insurance for a three-year period.

The course, which will be held in the high school library and taught by Bill Lentino, is sponsored by the Huntington Teacher Center. Class will begin at 8:15 a.m. sharp. Participants are asked to bring a bag lunch, pen, pencil and their driver’s license. Coffee and cookies will be served throughout the day. In addition to a break on car insurance premiums, the course can also be used to reduce points on a license.

To register, call 673-3002 or write to the Huntington Teacher Center, Huntington High School, Oakwood & McKay Roads, Huntington, NY 11743. A check payable to HUFSD in the amount of $45 should accompany each registration.

For more information either call the Teacher Center or send an e-mail to Pat Delecce (pdelecce@hufsd.edu) or Joann Kavanagh (jkavanagh@hufsd.edu).
