Alumni Association Memorabilia Auction Approaches
The final touches are being put on the Huntington High School Alumni Association’s fine arts, sports and music memorabilia auction and reception slated for Saturday, March 29 at 7 p.m. at the Dolan Family Health Center on Pulaski Road in Greenlawn. It promises to be a very special evening.
The event will benefit the Alumni Association scholarship fund. Tickets are priced at $10. Billed as a “Taste of Huntington,” the evening will include refreshments and appetizers along with coffee and dessert from a variety of fine local restaurants.
“This promises to be a fun and thoroughly enjoyable evening for all alumni and their spouses and friends,” Huntington Superintendent John J. Finello said. Mr. Finello is a member of Huntington’s Class of 1968.
The auction will be professionally presented by AJ Ross Auctions. Doors will open for a preview of items at 6 p.m. The auction formally gets underway at 7 p.m. All artwork will be custom framed and matted. Opening bids will be up to 50 percent below traditional framed gallery prices. An extensive selection of sports, music and entertainment memorabilia will also be available.
“All alumni are welcome to attend, along with everyone that resides in the community,” Mr. Finello said. “This will provide an opportunity to enjoy camaraderie with fellow Huntington graduates, neighbors and friends. Anyone interested in having a good time should come.”
