As a member district of Western Suffolk BOCES, Huntington offers students an opportunity to enroll in courses at Lewis A. Wilson Technological Center, which provides career and technical education programs designed to prepare students as both skilled and semi-skilled workers and technicians in various occupational areas.  Programs include graphics and media and the construction, health, service, technical and transportation industries.  Two year programs begin in a student’s junior year.  Four credits can be earned for each year of attendance.

Courses are offered at sites in Dix Hills, Northport, Farmingdale and Deer Park.  Daily transportation is provided from Huntington High School for either a morning or afternoon half-day program.  Wilson Tech offers job placement assistance by working closely with industry and trade unions.  Huntington students can also apply to two-year and four-year colleges or obtain detailed information about further occupational specialty training through the high school College Counseling Center.  For more information see a high school guidance counselor.
