Alumni Association Planning Live Auction this Fall
It might be five months away, but the Huntington Alumni Association is already busy planning a live auction and reception for Saturday, October 24 at the Dolan Family Health Center on Pulaski Road in Greenlawn. Organizers want community members to save the date now and hope it turns into a reunion of sorts, drawing graduates of all ages.
The event will feature a fine art, sports and music memorabilia live auction, and much more. Tickets will go for $10 and will include “A Taste of Huntington,” along with a variety of appetizers, wine, soda, coffee and dessert.
The evening will begin with an auction preview at 5:30 p.m. and continue through to 10 p.m. All Huntington alumni and friends are welcome to attend and stay for as long or short a period as their respective schedule allows. It promises to be a relaxing and fun evening for all, according to association officials.
“It’s always fun to see classmates and reminisce about days gone by,” Superintendent John J. Finello said. “We have so many alumni living in the community and so many graduates who take pride in their old high school. This is a way to stay connected and help out the Alumni Association.”
Proceeds will benefit the Alumni Association scholarship fund. For tickets and information call Linda Guido at (631) 423-3296. MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express will be accepted for the auction items.
