Flower Hill Honors Star Students
for December

Flower Hill Primary School Principal Marlon Small was delighted to recently honor a group of outstanding boys and girls across every grade level in the building. The youngsters were recognized as Star students for December, following remarkable displays of hard work, effort, respect and kindness in their classrooms and all around the school.
December's Star students included Tatyana Innusa, Emily Kustera, James Taylor, Jr., Antonio Leotta, Katy DeBellis, Vincent Bucceri, Keira Coulter, Nicholas Sclafani, Ryan Lawless, Logan Toth, Karen Maldonado, Charlotte Wesnofske, Morgan Colleluori, Alyson Baker, Joseph Sclafani, Ireny Veliz, Cristy Dayanne Elvir, Luke Bastible, Matthew Colavecchio, Madelyn Diaz-Portillo and Aaron Chin.
The name of each honoree was read over Flower Hill's public address system. The award winners filed down to the main office and received certificates. They later posed for a group photo in the school cafeteria. The photo will be posted on a prominent bulletin board near the school lobby.
"Each of these students was selected in recognition of their fine effort over the past month," Mr. Small said. "It's always fun to be able to congratulate and honor such great young people. All of us associated with the Flower Hill community are proud of them."
Flower Hill honors its top students every month. It's a way or recognizing the hard work and fine performance of youngsters across each of the five grade levels housed at the school. The recognition program encourages students to do the "right thing" and keeps them motivated. After all, is there any youngster that doesn't like to receive a pat on the back?
