H-Ton Boys' CC Impresses at Bethpage

The Huntington High School boys' cross country team impressed the field at the Nassau Coaches Invitational at Bethpage State Park last weekend. Freshman Kyle O'Brien was simply sensational, finished third in his class race.

O'Brien covered the 5K (3.1 mile) course in a personal best time of 19:08. Huntington's best time of the day was turned in by Tom Boisclair, who finished 17th in the Varsity 2 race in a time of 18:56. Boisclair took home a medal for his fine effort. Timothy Gress earned a medal in the sophomore race.

Boisclair, O'Brien, Gress and fellow varsity runners Y'Majesty Allen and Ethan Dwyer will be among the competitors in this week's Suffolk Divisional Championships at Sunken Meadow State Park. Blue Devil head coach Shawn Anderson is hoping his runners close out the fall campaign with a strong performance.

Dwyer and O'Brien are expected to place high at the Suffolk Freshman Championships on Saturday at Sunken Meadow State Park.
