School Board Approves Cafeteria Prices for 2012/13

Huntington School Board members have established student prices for milk, breakfast and lunch during the 2012/13 school year.

Trustees held the price for milk at 50 cents. Breakfast and lunch prices will increase by 10 cents per meal. Breakfast was set at $1.35 with elementary grade level lunch fixed at $2.10 and secondary lunch priced at $2.45.

Trustees also passed a resolution authorizing the district's continued participation in the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program. Trustees pledged that "all state and federal regulations pertaining to the School Meal Program will be adhered to by the Huntington Union Free School District."

Huntington's food service program is self-sustaining in nature. Breakfast and lunch is available in all seven district cafeterias. The district aims to serve healthy, nutritious and good tasting food items. For more information about the Huntington food service program call 673-2107.
